Hard to be broken, difficult to be bent and outstanding cutting quality. In order to simultaneously realize these important functions for the "katana", superior skill has been adopted in the "Katana" foging process since the 12th century. The "Katana" is made from a specific Japanese steel by fusing iron sand with burning pine tree charcoal.
The block of a specialized Japanese steel is heated and hammered over and over for 3days to acquire the vital faculties for the "Katana".

The Japanese sword had evolved into the artworks from the weapons between the end of the "Heian" period, the 12th century and the "Edo" period, the 19th century.
It is characterized by waved body with an elegance, beautiful wavy line appeared on the surface, single edged blade, outstanding cutting ability and thin but a strong steel body. Therefore it is extreamly attractive even without a elaborate sheath. The "Katana", Japanese sword used to be a source of emotional support for a "Samurai", a warrior in the "Edo" period.
