'Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum' and 'Hakutsuru Art Museum' in Higashi-Nada-ku, Kobe, are leading private museums among many ones standing halfway between Osaka and Kobe.

'Nada' district in Kobe, where many major sake makers are found , is Japan's largest sake brewing zone. Japan's greatest sake maker 'Hakutsuru Brewer' stands in this area, and has long contributed its effort to the promotion of local prosperity particularly in terms of culture, together with other major sake makers.
In other words, in the field of education and art. The first pictures show Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum opened in 1982, focusing on the sake brewing process.
An old factory built in 1910 was converted into this museum with affiliated wooden utensils and fittings to show the traditional process of sake making. The stately building in the third picture is Hakutsuru Art Museum built in 1934, which features the topflight collection of Chinese art.
