Kyoto has an aboundance of Japanese gardens.

On the way from "Chion-in" to "Yasaka-jinjya", it's just 15 minutes walking,I took this picture. On the whole, Japanese gardens in Tokyo tend to be old private gardens of "daimyo", feudal lord or billionairs, while those of Kyoto belong to "shinto shrines" or "buddhist temples".
Irises and emphasized perspective, a typical way of landscaping is seen here.
